virginia: How many hours of behind the wheel do i have to take in order to get my license in virginia? I already have my permit and im old enough to get my license but i havent taken behind the wheel yet. How many hours in total do i HAVE to have in order for it to count so i can get my license, about how much does it cost and how do i sign up for the classes?|||In Michigan (I know, not very helpful, but this is what I know) you need I think 30. But obviously this could vary by state. Your best bet is to look up your secretary of state online and it should tell you exactly how many hours. If not, you can always call road test locations and they may be able to let you know. Getting your license (road test) could range, mine costed 20 bucks or so (but I didn't pass parking the 1st time, so I had to pay another 20 to retake it).
