Can you run a catering business from your home kitchen in Virginia? And if so, can someone point me to the guidelines that regulate this by the department of health?
Also, for bonus credit... I know you have to get liability insurance when running a business but do you also have to get any additional insurance when serving food. (also any other advice is helpful) :)|||yes....................|||Yes, you should be able to. You should also consider looking into tools that will help manage your startup. For example, you'll want to get a hang of food costs, recipe costs, invoice and proposal generation, and even a place to keep track of your clients and customers. I personally use Better Cater catering software http://www.bettercater.com, but there are other inexpensive tools that will also help you run your business.
Good luck! :)|||yes, but you would have to have a big kitchen.
