I'm 16 and of course I'm at that age of trying to figure out what I want to do with my life. I was interested in nursing and I was just curious about it. So I was wondering how much make they make a year, in West Virginia, and is it a good good career. Is it fun, interesting, and if ya like it, why or why not. Thanks for your time!|||West Virginia is tricky and so is nursing. It depends where in the state you are willing to work and what type of nursing you want to go into. I believe that a lot of LPN's range from 12-15 bucks and hour. RN's range anywhere from 36,000 - 75,000 depending on where you are going to work, whether it is the private sector, the state or a hospital. If you like working with people and like helping them out, its a great field. Know what you are getting into, tho. Try to shadow one at a local hospital or nursing home. The best part about nursing is there are so many things you can do...even office work. A lot of insurance companies hire nurses to work for them as well. AND in this down turn of the economy or whatever happens in the future...you HAVE to have medical staff...so there will always be a demand for nurses. Good luck in your future!
