I heard that UNC (university of north carolina-chapelhill) reserves 80% of their freshmen spots for people who reside in North Carolina. Somebody told me UVA does not do that and instead, UVA has a lmited amount of students they can take from VIrginia. Does anybody know what percentage that is?|||UVA is composed of 67% in-state students and
33% out-of-state students. So 2/3 of the spots filled for UVA is for students residing in Virginia, the other 1/3 is for out of state or international students.

Any other information regarding this school can be found on the link below.|||In 2006, UVA admitted 45% of their in-state applicants and 32% of their out-of-state applicants. Of the total enrolled freshmen class of 3,091 students, 1,969 of them were Virginia residence (about 64%.) According to the Princeton Review, state residency is a very important factor in candidate selection.
