They never tried to sue my parents and haven't brought up anything until now. virginia statute of limitations gives them another year to sue.|||Four years is an awfully long time, you might want to get a lawyer and double-check that they're still allowed to sue you after so long. Either way, you need a lawyer to file an answer in court for the summons you recieved.|||I wuldn't know about the law but generally the world over a minor cannot be sued.Irrespective of the statute of limitation,the offence having been committed when the person was a minor, that person is not liable.That is my under- standing based on a common sense approach. You could always consult with an attorney.
