The people who passed the law know that. They did it just for show.|||If other states were smart the other 49 ( or 57+ in Obama's count) would do the same.|||The state of virginia can not pass a law excepting people from a federal tax so its just silly politics.|||Its just a tactic used to slow the effect of Obama's policies. I'm glad I do not live in Virginia and if you all paid attention, you would know that in the first draft, (before Thanksgiving recession) the Healthcare Reform Bill had what we called a Public Option just so states wouldn't have to take this action. It would be like that across the board, you either want healthcare or not.|||That won't work, but I think that various States will sue the Federal Govt, and the whole Obamacare Kit and Kaboodle will be stalled in court. Good luck!|||I think we're going to see something like that soon up here in PA - they've already been talking about some kind of exemption because of the Amish communities. It's against their way- their communities take care of their own - including paying medical / hospital bills. Besides - if our nation starts forcing us to do things.....isn't that a type a fascism??
