Is the character mr. Burke the same man in the books enslaved and seduced by virginia henley. In both the books their is a servant t named Mr. Burke.|||i think it is more likely that the author had the idea for the character and forgot that she had used one of the same name before. it is unlikely that they are intended to be the same person - enslaved being set in the eighteenth Century whilst seduced is probably in the second decade of the nineteenth (they refer to King George being mad - so dating the setting at later than 1810)
