virginia: I am getting married to an American so I need to have two receptions, one in Ontario and one in Virginia. I like very traditional and romantic venues, like a ball room per say. Does anyone know where there is a website with a bunch of listings or does anyone know one personally. Price is NOT a factor, but the looks of the place has to be priceless! If you're up in Timmins I can't help you, because I doubt that people would want to come to Toronto, but I can help you in Southern Ontario. My fist suggestion is to look for KofC or legion halls in whatever city/town you're looking for. If you are in Toronto, try Fantasy Farm, it's quite romantic. A little over-done sometimes, but good food and good staff. (Don't blame me for the cheesy website, I am not in any way affiliated with them). I've been to both Cinderella's Cottage (tea with my mom's woman's group) and the Makebelief Ballroom (for prom). Makebelief Ballroom worked for prom, and would for some weddings, but not all.
