I am looking at buying a vehicle at an auto auction in Virginia, but will be registering it in NY state. Does anyone know how to obtain a VA temporary tag (obviously through the DMV, duh...) so I can get to NY, to register it there? Also, please tell me how long it would take to get a temporary tag, since I would only have a few days to get the tag, coming home from college.
