virginia: How is married life in the navy in Florida or Virginia like ? My fiance is in japan now and want to move to Florida when we get married. i want to know how its going to be their. He is a E4 now and i also want to know about living expenses, how I'ts going to be is it really hard and should we move their instead of Virginia....Thanks!|||Once you are married you could live on base, otherwise he will get a cost of living allowance. You could also shop for groceries on the base which helps save money. I really don't think there is much difference between Florida and Virginia (unless it is the DC area, then VA is much more expensive), but VA has a lot more traffic near the Military bases. (DC and Norfolk).
