I am active duty military and I hold a Florida drivers license. I'v never had a motorcycle license and I want to keep my Florida residency, but I need to get a motorcycle license here in Virginia. How is this possible?|||Armed forces personnel get a break on the rules, since all states share a reciprocal agreement if you pass the test in 1 state it is honored by the others and will added to your home state license.|||Take weeks leave and go back to Florida, it isn't that far. Just getting a Virginia license will not change your state of residency by the way, it takes more then that for military personnel.
You could try contacting the Florida department and ask if they would give you a motorcycle endorsement for your license with out having to return for the test due to your being on active duty they might waive the requirement. Here is the site: http://www.flhsmv.gov/
