I've been looking online at several places that offer courses, but none really show how much it will cost. I want to become a Virginia Conservation Officer eventually. |||I understand your question. The problem is that what you are asking for is no longer offered in Virginia. It used to be, up until a few years ago. It is still legal, but none of the agencies do it. Thus, I can not give you a quote. (RRCJA used to charge appx. $4000.)
The problem was that you can not go through firearms training without an agency to sponsor you. Thus, you can not technically graduate from the academy. You would spend all that time and then end up with nothing.
However, there is another option. Look for agencies that allow reserve officers. (IE: Bowling Green in Caroline County, Tappahannock County, etc.) A reserve officer is a volunteer position. Most agencies will send you to the academy on their dime.
Good luck!|||are you asking like college classes ? most depts. send you to a school or academy and they pay for it. such as a recurit academy.
