I am a 20 year old home owner in Virginia and also a full time college student. My roommate who is renting from me is 21. As the property owner, is it legal for me to consume alcohol inside my property and is it legal for people between 18 and 20 to consume alcohol on my property in a social setting? I read somewhere that in Virginia people between the ages of 18 and 20 are allowed to drink alcohol in a privately owned home as long as 21 year olds or older are present. Is this true?|||No, it is not. If you're under 21, anywhere, and you're caught drinking alcohol, you'll get a citation.|||That is not true michelob86 visit http://alcoholpolicy.niaaa.nih.gov/stateprofiles/StateProfie.asp
